Packin' on the pounds

Today we took our little boy to his 2 week check-up and we couldn't be happier with our report! After losing about 11 oz, he has finally started to gain weight now! He has gained a total of 19 oz since birth...he started at 6 lbs 15 oz and now weighs 8 lbs 2 oz!!! :) He has no more signs of jaundice and is healthy as can be! He's even strong enough already that the doctor has ordered us not to leave him unattended on a changing table or couch - he's trying to roll over already! hahahaha! Mommy now sees why her back was hurting so bad at the end of her pregnancy - Owen must have been lifting weights in the womb!! hahahaha!

Grandma Linda was able to come and spend some good quality time with us. She came in on Wednesday evening and left this morning. She was an awesome help to mommy, daddy and Owen. Owen enjoyed spending time with her in the kitchen while mommy got some much needed rest and while daddy worked. Thanks for all of your help and for coming all this way to visit with us!

We love you all. Until next time...

Awesome! With all three of mine we were at the doctor every 2 days because of weight problems. And Jessica's jaundice required this weird radioactive blanket that she had to be strapped to all the time... very annoying. Ashlyn rolled over at 7 weeks! Don't underestimate his strength!

He's SO cute and 8 lbs at 2 weeks is AWESOME! Still can't wait to meet him. Hopefully before he outgrows the diapers we bought him :-)

you should feed that boy some steak... That should really get him growing. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you can chew up raw steak and regurgitate it for him. Maybe that was eagles... I should really stop flipping back and forth between the Discovery Health channel and Animal Planet.
