Home Sweet Home....

Well, after 10 & 1/2 long weeks in Arizona Adam finally touched down on NC ground and it was one of the sweetest days ever (Thursday, March 27th)!!!! :) There really is no place like home!
He arrived right on time and I was ready and waiting for him. After a long night of traveling, he was exhausted yet very anxious and excited to be back with his wife and little baby.
On our way home from the airport, we stopped in at one of Furbug's favorite breakfast spots (Biscuitville)! Once we returned to the house, Adam was greeted inside the door with a homemade sign and goodies to welcome him back! He was anxious to unpack and settle back in but he was also very tired and exhausted. So, instead of taking a nap on a BestWestern hotel bed, he quickly succombed to the comforts of our couch!
Then later that afternoon the two of us went to an OB check-up to see how things are progressing for sweet little Furbug. All was well and again we thank God for good healthy reports for both mommy & baby!
Adam was so thrilled to have a homemade meal - eating out for 10 weeks gets a little old (but Biscuitville was worth it!). Thanks to Linda, Adam's mom, we were able to enjoy a Furry Family Favorite - Chicken poppyseed(less) casserole! Along with that I made Adam one of his favorite side dishes which was of course, mashed potatoes!!! I just had to take a picture of him enjoying it-- too cute!
On Friday, his first full day back in Raleigh, he was put to work right away to complete our taxes, get a hair cut, and unpack all of his belongings. It was a very special treat to have him meet me for lunch that day too! Thanks to our dear friends, Stephen & Tina, we were even able to attend our first Carolina Hurricanes hockey game together (we won) since he left! Then on Saturday we spent most of our day registering for little Furbug. Sunday we went to church, had lunch together, got our maternity portraits taken and even went and saw "Horton Hears a Who"! What a great, busy, and memorable weekend it was for all of us!!!! It is so incredible to have Adam back 'home' and I praise God for His continued provisions and grace.
Then on Monday morning Adam started his very first day on sight at the RDU location. He was a little anxious/nervous but the day went great! Here is a picture of him before he left for the day(I'm already like a mom with taking pictures of the first day of school! haha)!
Well, I guess that's all for now - we just wanted to keep you up to speed and share his welcome home story with you!!! We want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support, thoughts, prayers and love as we endured the 10 & 1/2 weeks apart. We look forward to seeing each of you again real soon.
We love you all.
Until next time....
