Growing Like a Weed...

It's hard to believe that our little newborn is already over the 2 month old mark! Time has just flown by!!! We took Owen to the pediatrician on Monday, July 28th to get his first shots.....and let's just say it was harder on mommy than anyone else! He handled the shots like a trooper. Of course, there was some crying (or screaming) and a lot of fussiness, but all in all, he did a great job!

At his appointment we found out that he is now weighing in at 13lbs 5oz -- 90th percentile, he is 23 inches long -- 50th percentile, and he's in the 25th percentile for head size. :) He seems to be following in his daddy's footsteps as Adam was off the charts with weight at Owen's age! :)

We also learned that little buddy has eczema. We were concerned about a reoccurring rash on his cheeks and elbows and we feel better having it confirmed by the doctor. Now that we have an idea of what the problem is, we are now able to treat it better and get it under control. It hasn't seemed to bother Owen much so mommy and daddy are thankful.

On Saturday night I had rocked Owen to sleep in the recliner and while he was sleeping in my arms, he burst out in to laughter. He giggled for us twice in a row and it was by far the most amazing sound we've both ever heard!!!! Not to mention, he was just like mommy as he was able to keep right on snoozing! :) hahahaha!

He smiles and interacts with us more and more each day. It's awesome to watch him develop both physically and mentally. He has a wonderful little personality and we know he will have a great sense of humor too! (he has to in order to deal with parents like us!!!)
