Decorated!

Well, we had a nonstop Saturday this past weekend. We cleaned, Jackie baked, we did some Christmas/birthday shopping and we decorated our apartment for Christmas. We were very busy, but we had a lot of fun listening to the Vince Guaraldi trio while setting up our North Carolina Frasier Fur and putting out our various BigLots Christmas decorations.

We also saw The Nativity Story on Friday night. It may not win an Oscar, but it certainly was interesting to see a depiction of what Jesus' birth might have been like. It brought to mind how much anticipation the Jewish people must have had for their Savior. It was a great reminder that the Advent season is not just about remembering the anticipation that the Jewish people felt two-thousand years ago, but how in 2006, we still anticipate what great things he will do in our lives.

We had some friends from our small group over on Sunday after church for a salad and soup lunch. It was great to connect with them again, as everyone has been really busy with Thanksgiving, school and work. Our buddy Drew took the above picture for us.

We love you all. Until next time...
