Something new...

So, we thought we would try something different and start our own blog as a way of keeping up to date with friends and family. We're out of the loop when it comes to this kind of stuff, so bear with us as we get used to all the features and such.

Thought we'd start off our new page by posting a couple of pictures from our trip to Savannah, Georgia last weekend (Oct. 6th - Oct. 9th). We went to celebrate our first anniversary and had an awesome time...possibly even more fun than the honeymoon. While we were there, we decided to eat at Paula Deen's restaurant, "The Lady and Sons." The two hours spent in line just to put our name on the list were well worth it.

You can tell from the photo that the line to put your name on the list for dinner was quite long. This photo was taken at about 3:00pm. Lots of hungry people. We got to know the two couples on either side of us in line pretty well!

This is a shot taken on River Street. This is where a lot of tourists spend a good bit of time while in the city. There are lots of shops and awesome old buildings, plus lots of ships come in to the harbour here which is fun to watch. Last weekend, they were having an Octoberfest so River Street was packed. There was lots of music, lots of arts and crafts, apple cider (freshly pressed) and, of course, weiner dog races. We saw our fair share of weiner dog novelty t-shirts.
